## What this site does

MaxStacks is a live price comparison engine for Old School RuneScape (OSRS) gold. It scrapes the public pricing pages of major OSRS gold sellers every 15 minutes and ranks them by effective US-dollar-per-million for a given quantity and payment method.

Data is captured as a full price curve, not a single number — sellers often charge different per-million rates at different order sizes. The comparison engine picks the applicable tier for the requested quantity and ranks honestly by lowest effective price (sellers cannot pay to rank higher; promoted slots are visually separated and clearly labelled).

Data sources are all public seller pages. Trustpilot ratings are fetched daily.

## How rankings work

1. Every 15 minutes, MaxStacks fetches each seller's public pricing page (HTTPx for static sites, headless Chromium for JS-rendered ones).
2. Prices are recorded as ladder rows: one row per (site, direction, payment_method, amount_gp_millions). Standard ladder: 10M / 50M / 100M / 250M / 500M / 1000M / 5000M.
3. For a given query (e.g. "best buy at 100M, PayPal"), the engine finds the applicable tier per site (the highest tier ≤ requested amount), filters out sellers whose minimum order exceeds the request, and sorts by effective USD-per-million.
4. Featured slots — clearly badged — appear in a distinct top section. The honest ranking below is unaffected by promotion.

Data is timestamped and append-only; nothing is overwritten.
